With coronavirus cases on the rise it has become a huge a matter of concern in India. And it’s the healthcare and frontline workers who are leading the battle against it. To encourage and applaud the nurses who are serving round-the-clock to the patients, Wockhardt Hospital, Mira Road recently planned various competitions for them through online mode. It was themed with International Nurses Day, where the theme was ‘Nurses: A Voice to Lead – Nursing the World to Health’. Over than 100 nurses participated in the activity.
The hospital organised various online competitions for the nurses that include drawing, solo dance and singing, and individual quiz competition. The winner took away prizes for Best Song. There were also prizes won in the drawing and quiz contests. Lissymol Saji, Chief of Nursing, Wockhardt Hospital, Mira Road, said, “All the nurses from the hospital are working relentlessly for the benefit of the patients leaving all their problems behind. We are glad that the hospital organised activities for us to help us rejuvenate and become stress-free. We look forward to work for the betterment of the society, and hope to keep serving the patients till our last breath. We have also pledged to stand strong and fight against coronavirus.”
Added Dr Pankaj Dhamija Center head, of the hospital, “I am glad that the whole team of nurses has shown their real zeal of responsibility and ownership and for their complete commitment and dedication in spite of the challenges faced during the lockdown.”
