"My name is Amivi Coulibaly, I am 59 years old. I am from the Ivory Coast. I had a road accident and broke my vertebrae and discs. I experienced excruciating pain shooting down my leg, I was walking with my back bent forwards and had continuous back pain. I was also suffering with arthritis .My doctors told me that if I do not undergo surgery I will be soon paralysed. I asked my son who is in the USA about the surgery. The cost of medical treatment and surgery in the US is extremely high. He found out that hospitals in India would be cheaper. We were suggested Wockhardt Hospital, Mumbai Central. Dr Mazda Turel is a renowned and very experienced neurosurgeon in Wockhardt Hospital and we decided to follow his treatment. I underwent a spine surgery for my back and 4 to 5 hours after the surgery my leg pain and back pain reduced . I am even able to walk straight after the surgery. I am all set to go back home pain free, thanks to Dr Turel and Wockhardt Hospital. The treatment I received at the hospital was fantastic .I will definitely come back to Wockhardt Hospital for treatment again. It is a hospital you can trust and have complete faith in."

"My mother Mrs Aisha Al Riyami from Oman was suffering from back pain. Initially she was able to bare it but then in four years it became so excruciating that she had to limit all her movements and was suffering a lot. She had to restrict herself to the house and her condition was deteriorating. I consulted many doctors. I approached hospitals in Thailand but they were not able to answer all my queries and treatment was expensive. Friends and family suggested that I should bring my mother to Wockhardt Hospital, Mumbai Central. I appreciate the efforts taken by the international patient cell for coordinating the entire process of getting in touch with the Dr Mazda Turel who went through all my mother’s previous records and investigations. At the hospital we were received extremely well. The admission processes were efficient and hassle free. We were allocated a very good room and provided with a translator. The administrative staffs were very helpful. Dr Turel is an excellent Neurosurgeon he explained in great details the options that we had for mother. We decided that we would have a minimal invasive surgery of her spine done as she had a degenerative condition. Dr Turel and his team performed the surgery successfully. My mother started to walk again and we could see the improvement in her attitude. She was pain free at last, thanks to Wockhardt Hospital."

Dr Mazda Turel:

Dr Mazda has not only restored my mobility but has also made it possible to gain my livelihood back by returning to work. A heartfelt and big thank you to Wockhardt Hospital

"My name is Lucy Mhlanga, a 57 year old female from Zimbabwe Bulawayo. I was diagnosed with herniated disc in March of 2017 and my condition progressively grew worse to the extent that I was bed ridden and could hardly sit or walk even with the use of a walker. I was considering retiring on medical grounds as I was constantly on sick leave due to my condition.

I was then put in touch with Dr Mazda Turel a neurosurgeon in Wockhardt Hospital, Mumbai Central in India in August of 2018. Dr Turel after reviewing my case performed a decompression operation using a minimally invasive method. My relief from leg and back pain after the op was almost immediate and I could walk and sit once more. Within a week after the op I am back to my normal activities. Surprising thing is there is no pain at all at the point of incision where the op was carried out.

Dr Mazda Turel assisted not only in performing the op but also with the recovery process as well due to the confidence he exuded and encouragement that he gave me. He was especially caring and visited daily post op to assess my condition. Not only Dr Mazda was caring but the entire medical team as well. From the operating theatre to the ward care, they made me feel that I was in safe hands, making the hospital stay less apprehensive and extremely pleasant.

After the surgery I returned once more to my teaching job that I dearly love pain free and feel like a whole new person thanks to the team at Wockhardt Hospital."
